2002 Redline Rendezvous

Driver Development Track - Mosport International Raceway, Bowmanville, Ontario
In 2002, SVTOA hosted its On Track at Mosport International Raceway. Home to a challenging road course and numerous SCCA, stock car and GT races, we decided it was time to give some SVT vehicle owners a serious workout behind the wheel.
The event was filled with a lot of fun and interesting experiences. SVTOA-Toronto's 2002 Chapter Director Alessandro Cefis led the set-up crew through interesting backroads to the event. Smoking brakes and burnouts were all the rage. The weather was very hot yet amazing, leaving a few people sun burnt and tanned. A few participants enjoy the merry-go-rounds so much they just had to re-enact it in their SVT vehicles. We were also glad to learn that Canadian Tire stocks serpentine belts.
We were also graced with the appearances from members with rare vehicles, such as an SVO Mustang, members from as far away as Nova Scotia, and members from Massachusetts.
Participants were also treated to a sneak preview and charity test drives of the 2003 Cobra and SVT Focus. We were successful in raising over $250 for the Greg Moore Foundation.
